Our new Student Council

Our New Student Council!

Congratulations to this school year's Roseville Community Charter School Student Council elected on November 7th! These scholars will be "sworn into office" at our Board of Trustees' Meeting on Dec. 20th, but they have already started their first community service project which is a "Holiday Food Drive & Grocery Bag Giveaway" this week! "Learners today, leaders tomorrow" is our school's motto and these scholars are already living up to the expectations set!

The RCCS Student Council is organizing a Holiday Grocery Food Drive the week of Dec. 11th through Dec. 15th! Please see items listed below as guidance for what collected foods are being recommended. Please donate what you can to the cause!

RCCS’s Family Fall Harvest

The scholars and families of Roseville Community Charter School in Newark NJ, enjoyed lots of Fall fun at their annual Family Fall Harvest event on Oct. 26th! Families, staff, administrators, board members, and community members enjoyed ‘Trunk-or-Treating’, a costume parade, pumpkin picking, music and plenty of food! This is RCCS’s annual Fall event when all scholars & staff, their families, and community members can come together to experience the school community, and to celebrate the start of another productive school year!🎉🍎

Hispanic Heritage Month

We celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with meaningful, engaging, standards-aligned, and FUN activities throughout the past 4 weeks on behalf of our scholars and their education about people of Hispanic heritage and their contributions! Knowledge is power and is powerful when used for good! As a culminating event, on Friday, Oct. 13th all of our RCCS scholars took a flight to all the 21 Latin countries of the world, of course, boarding their airplane from “The RCCS International Airport”! 🛩️

The scholars arrived back with not only a passport full of stamps but most importantly a new view of the world beyond what they see around them! 🌎This is what quality, hands-on, project-based learning looks like, and Dr. Ledford is so proud to serve as the “captain” of this amazing “crew” of educators!🛩️🍎#knowledgeispower📚

UPCOMING EVENTS

RCCS is hosting our 1st Annual Educational Career and Community Resources Fair on Thurs. May 25th from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the RCCS Parking Lot Area! Please join us and bring family and friends with you as this will be an amazing opportunity to receive information and access to resources available within our community! This is also a great opportunity for anyone qualified and interested in a career in Education to speak with our Human Resources Manager about possible job opportunities available at RCCS!
